The 50WCE024 is a nominal 2-ton vertical water source heat pump intended for zoned HVAC with a water loop or geothermal exchange. WSHP zoning is a practical fit for multifamily and light commercial buildings because it supports independent comfort control without requiring rooftop or outdoor condensing equipment per zone. This platform uses R-454B refrigerant as part of its current design.
This SKU is the left-return, top-discharge version, built around side filter access and front-left water connections for consistent service and piping alignment. The option package is the differentiator: coated air coil selection for air-side protection, cupronickel coaxial heat exchanger selection for higher corrosion resistance, compressor blanket plus closed-cell foam insulation for sound attenuation, and an A2L leak detection package. It’s a “spec-forward” configuration aimed at buildings where water conditions, acoustics, or compliance needs are non-negotiable.
