Description
The 50WCE048 is a nominal 4-ton vertical water source heat pump designed to heat and cool a zone using a building water loop or geothermal exchange. In practice, that means efficient comfort control for larger zones or higher-load spaces while still fitting within a building-wide WSHP strategy. This platform uses R-454B refrigerant in its sealed refrigerant circuit.
This left-return, top-discharge cabinet configuration supports side filter access and front-left water connections, keeping cabinet geometry consistent for retrofit and replacement workflows. The selected options emphasize long-term resilience and safety: coated air coil selection, cupronickel coaxial water heat exchanger selection, compressor blanket plus closed-cell foam insulation, and an A2L leak detection package. It’s the kind of configuration commonly chosen for buildings where corrosion risk and acoustic expectations are higher, or where stakeholders want additional A2L safety controls.
