The 50WCE036 is a nominal 3-ton vertical water source heat pump designed to provide zone-level comfort from a building water loop or geothermal exchange. WSHP systems are widely used where owners need consistent tenant comfort and flexible zoning without relying on outdoor condensing units for each space. This platform uses R-454B refrigerant as part of its current product generation.
This SKU is the left-return, top-discharge cabinet configuration with side filter access and front-left water connections. It includes coated air coil selection and a cupronickel coaxial water heat exchanger selection, both aimed at extending component resilience in harsher environments. The sound/IAQ option package (compressor blanket plus closed-cell foam) is paired with an A2L leak detection package, making this a more “risk-managed” configuration for buildings with acoustic expectations or stricter safety requirements.
Published AHRI/ANSI 13256-1 tables list the ECM category for size 036 at 37,900 BTU/h cooling and 39,800 BTU/h heating under water-loop rated conditions.
