Walk around the side of almost any house in the American South and you will find it: a condenser sitting on a flat, gray slab a few inches above the dirt. Nobody takes a picture of that pad. Nobody brags about it at a barbecue. But without it the condenser would sink, tilt and sit in standing water after every summer storm. For more than half a century, DiversiTech has made a business out of exactly those overlooked parts.
DiversiTech was founded in 1971 and is headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, in the northeast suburbs of Atlanta. From the beginning it served the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration trade with the components and accessories that surround the major equipment: mounting pads, maintenance chemicals, connectors and installation supplies. Today it describes itself as a manufacturer and supplier for the HVACR industry across categories that run from equipment pads and wall brackets to condensate pumps, capacitors, transformers, blowers, hand tools and manifold gauges.
DiversiTech has grown by bringing smaller specialists under its roof. Its subsidiaries include Morris Products, Pro1 IAQ, Quick-Sling, Spin Tools and Cielo. The company is privately held and backed by private equity, with Partners Group named among its investors, and it employed about 1,250 people as of 2021. The pattern is consistent: find a product contractors already reach for on the job, and put it into the same distribution network that carries DiversiTech pads and chemicals.
DiversiTech's catalog is wide, but its heart is still the installation and maintenance work that keeps equipment level, dry, clean and running. HVAC365 carries a focused selection:
A condenser pad does three jobs. It gives the unit a level base so the compressor and refrigerant lines are not stressed, it lifts the cabinet above standing water and grass clippings, and it gives installers something solid to anchor to. In coastal Florida that last job is serious business, because outdoor equipment has to stay put in hurricane-force wind. Plastic pads are light enough for one installer to carry, concrete pads add weight and a familiar look, and taller hurricane pads add height and anchoring surface. Choosing among them is one of the small decisions that decides how a system looks and performs ten years later.

E-Lite pads are lightweight plastic pads that are easy to carry and place, while T-Class pads have a concrete surface and more weight for a traditional slab look and feel.
Pro-Treat tablets go in the condensate drain pan, where they slowly dissolve to help keep the pan and drain line from clogging with slime and algae.
A taller, heavier pad lifts the outdoor unit higher above standing water and gives installers more surface to anchor the equipment against strong wind, which matters in storm-prone coastal areas.
