What to check before you buy

  • Single-zone vs. multi-zone. A single-zone system serves one room with one indoor unit. A multi-zone system runs two or more indoor units from one outdoor unit; its tonnage is the outdoor unit's size, not the total of the indoor units.
  • Indoor unit combination. For multi-zone systems, use the Indoor Unit Combination filter (for example 9+12 or 12+12) to match the rooms you're conditioning.
  • Cold climate performance. If you heat through hard winters, filter by Cold Climate and check the minimum heating temperature on each listing.
  • Power and line set. Confirm the voltage, breaker size and line set sizes on the product page before ordering.
