H2flow Controls, based in the Toledo area of Ohio, builds the devices that watch for problems like that, measuring and controlling water in pool, spa and industrial systems for distributors in more than 60 countries.
H2flow is best known for the FlowVis flow meter, which the company says is the only flow meter certified to NSF 50 Level 1. It can be installed in any orientation on pipes from 1.5 to 8 inches, and a FlowVis Digital upgrade adds remote readings of flow and turnover rate. Alongside it, the LevelSmart line handles automatic water fill.
Accurate flow readings matter more than they used to. Variable speed pumps let pool owners run slower and save energy, but running too slow can leave water poorly turned over or starve a heater. A flow meter shows what is actually moving through the pipe, so the pump can be set as low as the system safely allows.
HVAC365 carries the H2flow LevelSmart Wireless Autofill System, a 24V system with a 1 inch valve. A wireless sensor in the pool watches the water level and signals the controller to open the fill valve when it drops, keeping the skimmer supplied.
