On a hot, windy week a pool can lose a surprising amount of water to evaporation and splash-out. If nobody notices, the level drops below the skimmer, the pump starts gulping air, and expensive equipment begins running dry. MP Industries makes the quiet answer to that problem: the automatic water leveler, a float valve hidden near the edge of the pool that adds water whenever the level falls.
MP Industries makes the Auto-Lev line of automatic water levelers, sold through pool supply distributors under the 1953-J family of part numbers. Inside each leveler, a float valve senses the water level and opens to refill the pool, spa, fountain or pond as needed, then closes once the level is restored. Keeping the waterline steady helps protect pumps and filters from running dry.
The levelers have durable plastic housings and an equalizer port, such as a 1-1/2 inch female slip connection, that ties the leveler to the pool so both share the same water level. They can be installed in skimmer boxes or in dedicated autofill chambers, and they are used on negative edge pools, catch basins and other high-evaporation installations. Lids are sold separately, in colors such as tan and white.
HVAC365 carries MP Industries parts in our water leveler collection, including an extension collar for MP Industries levelers. Extension collars are used to bring the top of a leveler up to the finished deck surface when the housing sits deeper than the deck. Related equipment lives in our pool and spa section.
MP Industries makes automatic water levelers for pools and related parts, including its Auto-Lev levelers, lids and extension collars.
It is a float-valve device that senses the water level and adds water when it drops, keeping the level steady in a pool, spa, fountain or pond.
If the level falls below the skimmer, the pump can draw air and run dry, which can damage the pump and filter. A leveler helps prevent that.
An extension collar raises the top of a leveler housing so its lid can sit at the finished deck surface when the housing is set deeper than the deck.
