The Brand Story
Poolside Tech: Handing the Pool a Personal Attendant
A homeowner is three states away on a business trip when a storm rolls through back home. The water level drops after a backwash, the heater is set for a weekend that has been canceled, and nobody is there to check. For most pools, that means a surprise on the return trip. Poolside Tech, based in New Hope, Pennsylvania, built its controller for exactly that kind of week.
Chapter 1
An automation system that watches the whole pad
Poolside Tech's main product is The Attendant, a pool automation system controlled through the Poolside Attendant app for iOS and Android. It is designed to run the equipment on the pad, including pumps and heaters, and to manage the jobs owners usually forget: holding the water at a set temperature, adjusting run times around weather, energy rates and schedules, and keeping the water level where it belongs. An optional chemistry module can monitor water balance and either alert the owner or add chemicals automatically.
The system is designed to work with equipment from many brands, counts heater maker Raypak among its partners, and connects with home automation platforms such as Amazon Alexa, Control4 and ELAN. A guest mode lets an owner share temporary access with family or a pool service without giving away permanent settings, and safety alerts flag low water, dirty filters and equipment faults. Installation is handled by a licensed dealer or pool contractor.
