Comfortstar Star Pro BAH32 2.5 Ton Inverter Heat Pump Split System (BAH32-30-15 + LUC32-30-15)
This is a complete, AHRI matched heat pump system from Comfortstar: the BAH32-30-15 top-discharge heat pump and the LUC32-30-15 multi-position air handler, running on R-32. Together they are rated at 30,000 BTU/h cooling, 31,000 BTU/h heating, 15 SEER2 and 10.5 EER2 with 8.4 HSPF2 under AHRI certificate 217816086.
The outdoor unit uses an inverter twin rotary compressor that speeds up and slows down with the load instead of cycling on and off at full power. You get steadier temperatures, better humidity control and lower operating cost, and it still puts out about 23,000 BTU/h of heat at 5°F. Comfortstar rates it for heating down to -4°F and cooling from 5°F up to 131°F.
Indoors, the LUC32-30-15 installs upflow, downflow or horizontal, so it works in closets, attics and crawl spaces. Its Multi-Speed PSC blower moves up to 1,100 CFM and the system runs on a standard 24V heat pump thermostat, so no proprietary controls are required.
