This AHRI-matched system combines a 2.5-ton R-32 heat pump, 96%+ AFUE single-stage gas furnace, and cased evaporator coil so the heat pump handles cooling and mild-weather heating, while the furnace takes over when outdoor temperatures drop.

Designed for downflow installation, the system uses the furnace's multi-speed ECM blower motor to move air for both the heat pump and the gas burners. With a dual-fuel thermostat or outdoor temperature control, the system switches to gas heat below a set balance point, which keeps homes comfortable in cold snaps and lets you choose the more economical fuel for your local utility rates.
