Description
The Goodman GLXS4BA4810, GR9T800805DX, and CHPTA6030D3 gas-electric split system provides reliable heating and cooling for horizontal residential installations. It combines 4-ton cooling capacity with 14.3 SEER2 efficiency and an 80,000 BTU gas furnace rated at 80% AFUE. The single-stage air conditioner uses R-32 refrigerant, while the two-stage furnace adjusts its heating output to support more consistent indoor temperatures.
The GR9T800805DX furnace features a nine-speed ECM blower motor for controlled airflow and accommodates upflow or horizontal applications. The CHPTA6030D3 horizontal evaporator coil includes a factory-installed TXV for accurate refrigerant control. Together, these components form a matched system designed to provide dependable year-round comfort and practical energy efficiency.

Compatibility & Installation Notes
This system is designed for horizontal installation, although the included furnace also supports upflow applications. The furnace ships configured for natural gas and may be converted to propane using the correct optional LP conversion kit.
Professional installation by a qualified HVAC technician is required. Final equipment sizing should be based on a Manual J load calculation that considers the building’s climate, insulation, windows, ceiling height, air leakage, and ductwork. A compatible thermostat, refrigerant line set, metal flue venting, electrical materials, drain components, and mounting accessories may be required separately.
Because R-32 is classified as an A2L refrigerant, all installed components and safety devices must meet applicable R-32 requirements and local codes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a complete heating and cooling system?
Yes. It includes an outdoor air conditioner condenser, gas furnace, and horizontal cased evaporator coil. Installation accessories are sold separately unless specifically included with the order.
Does the furnace provide single-stage or two-stage heating?
The GR9T800805DX provides two-stage heating. It can operate at a lower stage during moderate demand and increase its output when additional heating is required.
Why is a 5-ton evaporator coil included with a 4-ton condenser?
The CHPTA6030D3 supports 4-to-5-ton applications. Evaporator coil and condenser nominal capacities may differ when combined as part of a properly matched system.
Can this furnace operate with propane?
The furnace ships configured for natural gas. It may be converted to propane using the manufacturer-approved LP conversion kit and proper professional installation.
