Description
Product Summary
The Baso Y70AA-1C is a gas valve from Baso, described by the manufacturer as: 2-1/2 OZ. tube of gas valve thread grease (Small Tube).
A gas valve controls the flow of gas to the burner and, on pilot models, to the pilot. It opens only when the ignition system or thermocouple tells it the appliance is ready, regulates the outlet pressure to the burner and closes the moment the call for heat ends or a safety fails. Common signs of a failed gas valve are an igniter or spark that never lights the burner even though the valve receives voltage, a pilot that will not stay lit, manifold pressure that cannot be set, or a burner that keeps firing after the thermostat is satisfied.
