At dawn, before anyone is up, a pool robot drops to the floor of the pool, climbs a wall and runs a slow line along the waterline where sunscreen and pollen collect. It is a quiet job that used to take a person with a brush and a long pole. BWT, short for Best Water Technology, is best known in Europe for water treatment, and it brought its name to this job through a pool robotics acquisition.
The BWT Group, which has described itself as Europe's leading water technology business with a staff of about 4,500, made its move into robotic cleaning on January 31, 2019, when it acquired Aquatron, a major manufacturer of robotic pool cleaners. A few months later Procopi, the group's pool equipment business in France, launched three new ranges of BWT-branded robots for professionals, small pools and the wider retail market. The BWT name has been on robotic cleaners ever since.
BWT makes water treatment and filtration systems for homes, businesses and industry, along with pool equipment and robotic pool cleaners. HVAC365 carries three models from the Advanced Pro line of robotic pool cleaners:
A robotic cleaner runs on its own low-voltage power supply and carries its own filter, so it works independently of the pool's pump and filter. Emptying and rinsing the filter after each cycle keeps suction strong. Browse more pool cleaners to compare.
BWT stands for Best Water Technology. The BWT Group is a European water technology company that also makes pool equipment and robotic pool cleaners.
BWT entered robotic pool cleaning by acquiring Aquatron, a robotic pool cleaner manufacturer, on January 31, 2019. BWT robots have been sold under the BWT name since then.
The Advanced Pro 100 cleans the pool floor only, while the Advanced Pro 250 and 600 clean the floor, walls and waterline.
No. A robotic cleaner has its own motor, power supply and filter, so it cleans independently of the pool's circulation system.
