Description
C&D Valve Refrigerant Locking Cap | 1/4" Flare Brass Refrigerant Locking Cap - Single | CD2290/S
The C&D Valve CD2290/S is a single locking cap for 1/4" male flare refrigerant access ports. They keep people without the right key from opening the refrigerant circuit, which stops refrigerant theft and huffing and helps keep the system sealed.
Each cap has a nickel-plated brass shell over a brass inner cap. Once it is tightened on, the outer shell spins freely, so it can’t be removed by hand or with pliers; C&D notes the caps are removed with a standard valve core key. The 1/4-inch size fits the standard service ports on most residential and light commercial equipment. Locking caps on outdoor service ports are required by the International Mechanical Code, the International Residential Code and the California Mechanical Code.
