The Brand Story

GLB: A Simple Floating Chlorinator for Steady Sanitizing

Some pool equipment is complicated. A chlorine floater is not. It is a plastic dispenser that drifts across the surface of the water, holding a stack of slow-dissolving chlorine tablets and releasing sanitizer a little at a time, day after day. For small pools, above ground pools and spas, it is one of the oldest and most dependable ways to keep a baseline of chlorine in the water.

The Lineup

What HVAC365 carries

HVAC365 carries the GLB Longevity Tablet Chlorine Floater, listed with our floating chlorine dispensers and other filters and sanitizers. It holds chlorine tablets inside a floating chamber, and adjustable vents control how much water flows past them, which sets how quickly sanitizer is released.

In the Field

Using a floater well

Start with the vents partly open, test the water after a day or two, and adjust until the chlorine level holds steady. Keep the floater away from the skimmer and out of the swim area when people are in the pool, and tether it if it tends to drift into a corner. Load it only with the type of tablet named on its label, never mix different chlorine chemicals in the same dispenser, and store tablets dry and away from other pool chemicals. A floater supplements, rather than replaces, regular testing and shocking.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about GLB

What is a chlorine floater?

A chlorine floater is a floating dispenser that holds slow-dissolving chlorine tablets and releases sanitizer gradually into pool or spa water.

How do I adjust a floating chlorinator?

Open or close the dispenser vents to change how much water reaches the tablets. Test the water and adjust until the chlorine level stays in range.

Can I mix different tablets in a chlorine floater?

No. Use only the tablet type named on the dispenser label and never mix different chlorine chemicals, which can react dangerously.

Where should a chlorine floater go in the pool?

Let it float in open water away from the skimmer, and remove or tether it out of the way while people are swimming.
