Every gallon a pool pump pulls through the filter has to come back to the pool somewhere. It comes back through the return fittings, the small nozzles set into the pool wall. They are easy to overlook, but their shape decides whether clean, sanitized water spreads evenly through the pool or simply loops back to the skimmer, leaving dead spots where algae can start.
HVAC365 carries two Infusion venturi return fittings:
Browse all drains, inlets and skimmers.
A venturi fitting narrows the path the water travels, so the stream leaves the nozzle faster and reaches farther across the pool. Most pool professionals aim returns slightly downward and in the same rotational direction, so the whole body of water turns slowly in a circle and floating debris is carried toward the skimmer. When replacing a return fitting, confirm the connection type, threaded or insert, and the color, so the new fitting matches the others on the wall.
A return fitting is the nozzle in the pool wall where filtered water comes back from the equipment. Its direction helps circulate water and push floating debris toward the skimmer.
A venturi return fitting narrows the water path so the stream leaves faster and travels farther, improving circulation compared with an open return.
Match the connection type and color of your existing returns. The black version is threaded, and the white version has a self-aligning design.
Returns are commonly aimed slightly downward and all in the same rotational direction, so the water turns in a slow circle and carries debris toward the skimmer.
