Description
K-FLEX INSUL-TUBE 1-1/8" ID x 1/2" Wall — Full Carton of 26 Pieces (156 Linear Feet)
This is a full, factory-sealed carton of K-FLEX INSUL-TUBE 6RX048118: 26 unslit six-foot lengths with a 1-1/8" inside diameter and a 1/2" wall, for 156 linear feet of insulation in one box. It is sized for 1-1/8" O.D. copper refrigerant tubing, which makes it a common pick for suction lines and line sets on split systems, mini splits and heat pumps. Buying the carton instead of single sticks keeps a crew stocked across several installs and keeps every run on a job the same material and wall thickness.
K-FLEX INSUL-TUBE is a flexible elastomeric foam with an NBR/PVC closed-cell structure. The closed cells give it steady thermal resistance and make the foam its own moisture barrier, so it controls condensation on cold lines and cuts the risk of mold and mildew where sweating copper would otherwise drip onto ceilings, attics and equipment pads.
The foam carries an EPA-registered antimicrobial for added protection against mold, fungal and bacterial growth, and it is UL GREENGUARD Gold certified for low VOC emissions. It is made without CFCs, HCFCs, PBDEs, formaldehyde or fibers. INSUL-TUBE has passed QUV chamber testing for UV and weather resistance; for long-term outdoor runs K-FLEX recommends protecting it with an approved K-FLEX coating or cladding.
The material is Factory Mutual approved for its key physical properties and covers an operating range of -297°F (-183°C) to +220°F (+104°C), so the same carton works on refrigeration, air conditioning and chilled-water lines.
