Description
The Rheem RXRX-DDC01 is the Economizer Universal DDC Interface Kit for Rheem commercial package units with ClearControl™ DDC (direct digital control). It lets a non-DDC economizer work with a ClearControl DDC unit. The kit mounts on the economizer, gives the economizer controller a mounting location and keeps the extra wiring tidy. Rheem lists it as an accessory for the RHPC Series (RHPCYB 036–072, 3 to 6 tons) and the RHPD Series.

No. When a factory-installed economizer is selected for a DDC unit, Rheem installs this kit at the factory if it is required. Order it separately when you add a non-DDC economizer in the field.
Will it work with an older ClearControl unit?
Yes, but older DDC units built before the switch to A2L refrigerant may need a ClearControl software update first. Rheem's minimum is version 3.15. Units using R-454B ship with version 4.0 or newer.
Does it work with horizontal and downflow economizers?
Yes. Rheem shows bracket setups for both downflow and horizontal-flow economizers.
