Description
The CN24RELAY-KIT-CM3 connects to the CN24 connector on Mitsubishi Electric SEZ and SLZ indoor units to switch a backup or supplemental heat source. Mitsubishi lists it as the backup heat relay kit in the SLZ-AF cassette submittal.
Add backup heat to a ductless system
When the heat pump needs help on the coldest days, the indoor unit energizes the relay through CN24 and the relay contacts bring on an external heater, baseboard or other heat source. The kit uses a 12V DC coil drawing 0.9 W or less and supports wire runs up to 32 feet using 18 to 22 AWG wire.
