The MLP-449WU is the decorative panel for the MLZ-KX one-way ceiling cassette. The cassette does not ship with a panel, so one is required for every indoor unit. A ceiling cassette needs its decorative panel to finish the ceiling opening, direct airflow and cover the unit, and the panel is not included with the indoor unit.
