AireVantage B65VMMX60K-C is the larger-capacity variable-speed, multi-position air handler in the B65VMMX lineup, built for systems where airflow demand is high and comfort has to stay controlled. At this level, the indoor unit can’t be “good enough” because small airflow problems become big comfort complaints—hot rooms, noisy returns, and humidity that lingers. This air handler is designed for SEER2 residential systems and pairs with an AireVantage heat pump or air conditioner.
The variable-speed ECM motor is designed to keep airflow steadier across changing conditions by automatically adjusting to different static loads. It offers 16 field-selectable cooling airflows and automatically sets heating airflows based on the amount of installed electric heat. That gives contractors a wide tuning range while giving homeowners a system that feels smoother: less air stratification, improved humidity removal and filtration capability, and quieter, more controlled blower cycling.
B65VMMX60K-C is also built to live in real mechanical environments without corroding, sweating, or becoming a service headache. It includes a factory-installed externally equalized TXV for precise refrigerant control under varying loads, an all-aluminum coil for high corrosion resistance, and a plastic drain pan designed to resist corrosion. The cabinet is galvanized steel with a polyurethane finish rated to endure 950 hours salt spray and is insulated with 1-inch (R-4.2) insulation to reduce operational noise and help prevent cabinet sweating. It also supports plug-in heater kits and front-accessible breakers when a heater is applied, keeping the platform flexible for different electric heat requirements.
