Description
Product Summary
The Bohn BEL0065CY6EEAB0000 is a low profile walk-in unit cooler (evaporator) with electric defrost, built for low-temperature freezers. It has two fans with 1-speed EC motors and 208-230V three-phase defrost heaters, and the low profile cabinet saves headroom in small walk-in freezers.
It is the A2L/HFC dual-refrigerant base model (option package B0000), rated for low-GWP R-454A, R-454C and R-455A as well as R-404A, R-507A, R-448A, R-449A, R-407A and R-407F. At a 10°F TD and -20°F suction it delivers 6,500 BTU/h on R-404A and 7,200 BTU/h on R-448A. It replaces Bohn's legacy LET065.
The cabinet has hinged, removable side access panels, a molded fan guard rated NSF and UL Sanitation, extended drain pan heaters for even defrost, fixed defrost termination, and a quick-removal fan and motor assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the BEL0065CY6EEAB0000 for a freezer?
Yes. It uses electric defrost, and Heatcraft rates it at -20°F suction for low-temperature freezer duty. It can also run in medium-temperature boxes when electric defrost is wanted.
How much capacity does it have?
At a 10°F TD and -20°F suction it delivers 6,500 BTU/h on R-404A/R-507A, 7,200 BTU/h on R-448A/R-449A and R-407A/F, 7,000 BTU/h on R-454A, 6,800 BTU/h on R-455A and 6,000 BTU/h on R-454C. Capacity runs about 15% higher at +20°F suction and about 10% lower at -30°F.
Can I use it with A2L refrigerants?
Yes. It is rated for R-454A, R-454C and R-455A. This B0000 base model does not include a factory refrigerant detection system (RDS). Heatcraft offers a field-mounted RDS kit, and A2L systems must meet the leak-detection and minimum room-area rules in your local code. Heatcraft lists 27 sq ft for R-454A, 26 sq ft for R-454C and 18 sq ft for R-455A at a 10 ft line length.
What power does it need?
The defrost heaters need 208-230V three-phase power and draw 5.7 A (2,100 W). The two EC fan motors draw 1.0 A (110 W) total on 208-230V, with a 1.1 A minimum circuit ampacity and 15 A maximum overcurrent protection.
What connections does it have?
A 1/2 in coil inlet, 5/8 in suction, 1/4 in external equalizer and a 3/4 in MPT drain. The expansion valve, solenoid and defrost timer are not included with this base model. Hanger brackets accept 3/8 in hanger rods.
