Description
Product Summary
The Bohn DVT010 is a direct-drive, air-cooled remote condenser from Bohn's DVT 1–26 ton line, one of the most widely used remote condensers in commercial refrigeration. It pairs with a remote compressor or rack to reject heat outdoors for walk-in coolers, freezers and process refrigeration.
It runs two 24-inch fans moving about 10,100 CFM, with PSC motors on 208-230V single-phase power. The aluminum cabinet supports horizontal or vertical air discharge, and multi-circuiting is available.
Key Features
- Direct-drive DVT design: Bohn's standard remote air-cooled condenser, UL listed for the US and Canada.
- 10,100 CFM airflow: 2 x 24" fans with internally protected, permanently lubricated motors.
- Flexible installation: horizontal or vertical air discharge.
- Built for outdoor duty: aluminum housing, coated steel fan guards and fully baffled fan sections that prevent windmilling.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I size a remote condenser?
Multiply the DVT010's 4.77 MBH per °F TD by your design temperature difference (commonly 10–15°F for refrigeration) and compare it to the total heat of rejection of the compressor it serves.
Can the air discharge be vertical?
Yes. DVT condensers can be set up for horizontal or vertical air discharge.
What refrigerants is it rated for?
Bohn publishes DVT ratings for R-404A and R-507; other HFC and HFO blends are rated in the Bohn technical guide.
