Description
The Cooper & Hunter Slim Duct 18,000 BTU slim ducted system pairs the CH-RES18-230VO outdoor heat pump with the CH-RS18MDT-MS indoor unit as an AHRI-matched single-zone ductless mini split (AHRI #215864227). It is rated at 20 SEER2 on R-454B refrigerant and runs on 208/230V single-phase power, heating and cooling one room or zone without ductwork (the slim ducted unit serves one zone through short duct runs).
The Slim Duct is a concealed, low-profile ducted air handler that hides above a ceiling or in a soffit and serves one or more rooms through short duct runs. Medium-static models (6-18K) handle up to 0.4 in. W.C.; high-static models (24K and up) handle up to 0.8 in. W.C. The 6-12K model is set to 6K, 9K or 12K by dip switch.

Installation Notes
Mini split heat pumps must be installed by a licensed HVAC technician: the line set is flared, pressure tested, evacuated and charge-adjusted on site. R-454B is a mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant, so A2L-rated tools and the manufacturer's procedures are required. Size the unit from a room load calculation rather than square footage alone. Each outdoor unit needs its own dedicated circuit sized to the rating plate (18 A MCA, 20 A max fuse).

Common Questions
Does this system come with a line set?
No. The line set, communication wire, wall sleeve, condensate line and mounting hardware are sold separately.
Can this outdoor unit run more than one indoor unit?
No. This is a single-zone (one outdoor to one indoor) system. Cooper & Hunter multi-zone condensers are listed separately.
