The Bosch Connected Control BCC100 is a Wi-Fi thermostat with a 5 inch full-color touchscreen, built by Bosch Thermotechnology to run most 24 VAC heating and cooling systems. It controls conventional gas, oil and electric systems with up to 2 heat and 2 cool stages, heat pumps with up to 4 heat and 2 cool stages, and one humidifier or dehumidifier on its H/DH terminal.
What sets it apart is its data terminal. Wired to a Bosch water source heat pump, the BCC100 picks up the unit's fault signal and shows the fault message right on the screen, so the cause of a lockout is visible without opening the cabinet. On Bosch water source heat pumps with a hot gas reheat coil and/or an ECM blower motor, it also runs active and passive dehumidification without external relays.
The thermostat follows a 7-day schedule, either preset or your own, and changes over between heating and cooling automatically. Once it is on Wi-Fi, the Bosch Connected Control app lets you adjust temperatures, schedules and vacation mode from your phone, local weather shows on the display, and Amazon Alexa can set the temperature by voice. If the internet drops, it keeps running from the touchscreen and its schedule. It needs a C-wire for power and supports two-transformer systems with separate RH and RC terminals.

Will it work with my Bosch water source heat pump?
Yes. It runs the heat pump's compressor, reversing valve and fan stages like any 24 VAC thermostat, and its data terminal connects to the heat pump to show fault messages on screen. The data terminal is only used with Bosch water source heat pumps.
Does it need a C-wire?
Yes. The BCC100 is powered by a common (C) wire, and two-wire systems without a C-wire are not supported.
Does it work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Heating, cooling and scheduling all run from the touchscreen. The app, local weather and Alexa control need an internet connection on a 2.4 GHz network.
Can it control a humidifier or dehumidifier?
Yes, one accessory at a time through the H/DH terminal, with a humidity setpoint range of 30% to 90% RH. The humidifier or dehumidifier is not included.
What comes in the box?
The thermostat, wall plate, screws and wall anchors, a screwdriver, a jumper wire, wire labels and the user guide.
