C&D Valve Refrigerant Locking Cap Multi-Tool with 3 Bits | CD3830

The C&D Valve CD3830 is a locking cap driver that removes the three most common refrigerant locking caps with one tool. It comes with three bits: one for C&D Valve locking caps, one for J/B Shield caps and one for RectorSeal Novent caps, so a technician can open any of them without carrying separate keys.

The magnetic tip holds the bit firmly while you turn the cap, and the bits store inside the handle so they don’t get lost in the truck. The compact body reaches service ports tucked behind panels and piping. It is the tool C&D lists for removing its red anodized A2L locking caps, including the CD2290R series.

Locking caps are required on outdoor refrigerant access ports by the International Mechanical Code and International Residential Code, so a driver like this is part of every service call on a protected system.
