The C&D Valve CD2235R/6 is a 6-pack of red anodized aluminum hex caps for 1/4-inch SAE flare access ports. The red finish is the industry color for A2L refrigerants such as R-454B and R-32, so anyone opening the system can see at a glance that it holds a mildly flammable refrigerant.
Each cap has a neoprene O-ring seal that seats against the port to keep the valve core clean and stop small leaks at the service port. They thread on by hand and snug up with a wrench like a standard flare cap; these caps are not the locking type, so pair them with locking caps where the code requires tamper resistance.
