Electric heat
No heat strip is included with this system. If you want auxiliary or emergency electric heat, choose one from the Add an Electric Heat Strip option above. Sizing and installation
Size the system from a room-by-room load calculation (ACCA Manual J) rather than square footage alone. Climate, insulation, windows and duct condition all change the load, and an oversized system short-cycles and leaves humidity behind.
The outdoor unit and air handler each need their own electrical circuit sized to the rating plate. The refrigerant line set, thermostat (this system requires the RETST800SYS control), condensate drain, pad and installation materials are sold separately. Because R-454B is a mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant, installation and service require a licensed HVAC technician using A2L-rated tools and the manufacturer's procedures, which also keeps the warranty in force.

Can I reuse my old refrigerant lines?
