Overview

This LG Multi F MAX heat pump system pairs the KUMXB481A outdoor unit with 6 LG low static ducted indoor units for six-zone heating and cooling. Every indoor unit in this system is the same style, so each room gets matching appearance, airflow and controls. The system runs on 208/230V, 1-phase, 60 Hz power and uses R-32 refrigerant.

1 x KUMXB481A multi-zone outdoor unit (up to 8 indoor units through branch distribution units, LG R1 twin rotary inverter compressor)
4 x KNMKB091A (9,000 BTU LG low static ducted indoor unit)

1 x PMBD3641ZR 4-port branch distribution unit
1 x PMBD3630ZR 3-port branch distribution unit

Performance

LG rates Multi F MAX systems by total connected indoor capacity. At 60,000 BTU/h connected (ducted), this system is rated at 19 SEER2, 12.6 EER2 and 9.5 HSPF2, with a rated cooling capacity of 48,000 BTU/h and a rated heating capacity of 54,000 BTU/h. Each zone has its own indoor unit and set point, so occupied rooms can be conditioned independently while unused rooms stay idle. The inverter compressor adjusts its speed to match the load, which holds temperatures steadily and reduces on/off cycling.

Wi-Fi control through the LG ThinQ app is available with the optional PWFMDD200 Wi-Fi module. Ducted indoor units require a wired controller, sold separately (for example PREMTB101 or PREMTA201).
