Description
The MRCOOL UHP18030-O is the 2.5-ton outdoor heat pump unit of the Universal Series line. Matched with the UAH18030-O air handler it is AHRI certified (Reference No. 217730329) at 17.2 SEER2, 12 EER2 and 10.8 HSPF2, with 30,000 BTU/h of rated cooling and 33,000 BTU/h of heating at 47°F on R-454B refrigerant.
The outdoor unit runs a DC inverter rotary compressor that modulates with the load, and it comes with a chassis heater and crankcase heater as standard equipment for dependable starts in deep cold. The black side-discharge cabinet keeps a low profile next to the house.
MRCOOL rates the Universal Series for up to 100% heating output at -13°F with continuous heating operation down to -22°F, and full cooling output at 110°F with operation up to 122°F, which makes it a true all-climate heat pump.
Electrical and piping
The unit runs on 208/230V single phase with a 29.5 A minimum circuit ampacity and 30 A maximum overcurrent protection. It uses a 3/8 in liquid line and 3/4 in suction line, ships charged for 24.6 ft of line set, and supports runs up to 164 ft (50 m) with 82 ft (25 m) of lift. It measures 37.24 x 16.14 x 31.89 in and weighs 166.67 lbs.
Replacing just the outdoor unit
The ratings above apply only when this condenser is paired with the UAH18030-O. If you are replacing a failed outdoor unit on an existing Universal Series system, match the model to your air handler before ordering. MRCOOL covers the compressor and parts for 10 years and labor for 2 years when the system is professionally installed.
