Description
The Bard W48AF-A00 is a WA Series wall-mount, single-stage packaged air conditioner intended for commercial and industrial cooling where the wall-mount format is preferred and capacity demands move beyond smaller modular applications. It is well suited for modular campuses, schools, industrial support spaces, telecom shelters, equipment rooms, energy storage installations, and data center support environments where predictable performance and manageable service access are priorities.
AHRI performance is certified to ANSI/ARI 390-2021, with a 48,000 BTUH cooling capacity and an 11.4 EER (ratings based on no outside air introduction). The W48AF uses R-454B (A2L) refrigerant and a scroll compressor, aligning the refrigerant platform with modern regulatory direction while keeping operation simple and service-friendly.
Air delivery is handled by a multi-speed ECM indoor motor and dual blower configuration rated at 1,550 CFM at 0.20 in. ESP. That airflow capacity supports larger zones and higher internal loads, with static capability suited to many commercial duct layouts.
The WA Series supports accessory flexibility including ventilation options (economizers and ERVs), optional electric heat from 2 kW to 15 kW, filter upgrades up to MERV13, and IAQ accessories such as UVC-LED and NPBI. Standard protections include short-cycle protection, phase monitoring, high/low pressure switches, and an integrated RDS refrigerant detection system.
