The Comfort-Aire MCT048AGC30C0PS is an MC Compact Series single-stage water-source heat pump built for higher-capacity commercial zones served by a water loop. This model class is commonly used in larger office areas, retail spaces, medical facilities, classrooms, and institutional zones where you want efficient heating and cooling with a compact cabinet, quieter operation, and a service layer that reduces commissioning friction.
The MC Compact Series exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 efficiency standards and uses R-454B low-GWP refrigerant. A coaxial heat exchanger supports efficient heat transfer, and TXV metering supports stable refrigeration control as loop temperatures and building loads shift.
For controls and diagnostics, the platform includes microprocessor controls with emergency shutdown, Unit Performance Sentinel monitoring, and multiple standard safety features. CXM2 communicating controls provide real-time operating condition visibility and captured fault conditions, and the external connecting port reduces service tool connection time during startup and maintenance.
