Comfortstar BAH17 3 Ton Heat Pump Split System (BAH17-36-15 + LUC17-36-15)
This is a complete, AHRI matched heat pump system from Comfortstar: the BAH17-36-15 top-discharge heat pump and the LUC17-36-15 multi-position air handler, running on R-32. Together they are rated at 34,200 BTU/h cooling, 34,000 BTU/h heating, 14.3 SEER2 and 11.7 EER2 with 7.5 HSPF2 under AHRI certificate 218396752.
The outdoor unit is a straightforward single-stage rotary heat pump: fewer parts, simple 24V controls and easy service. It heats down to -4°F and still delivers about 18,200 BTU/h at 5°F, which covers the vast majority of the country without backup heat in mild climates.
Indoors, the LUC17-36-15 installs upflow, downflow or horizontal, so it works in closets, attics and crawl spaces. Its ECM blower moves up to 950 CFM and the system runs on a standard 24V heat pump thermostat, so no proprietary controls are required.
