Description
Product Summary
The NAVAC NVR3 is a tri-port valve core removal tool, the first in the industry built around three valves in one body. Where a standard core tool gives you one path in and out of the service port, the NVR3 gives you three, each with its own 1/4-turn ball valve. Once it is threaded onto the port you can charge, purge, recover, evacuate and leak test without disconnecting a single hose, which saves time on every job and keeps air and moisture out of the system between steps.
It fits both common port sizes, the 1/4" flare ports found on most split systems and package units and the 5/16" flare ports used on mini splits, and it is built to work with most refrigerants, including A2L refrigerants such as R-454B and R-32.
Three Ports, Three Valves, Full Control
Each port is isolated by its own ball valve, so you can close off a hose or a gauge while you work on another path. That isolation prevents cross-contamination between your recovery machine, vacuum pump and refrigerant cylinder, and protects gauges from pressure damage. The quarter-turn valves give precise flow control when you are metering in refrigerant or breaking vacuum with dry nitrogen, and the layout makes triple evacuations practical without constantly swapping connections.
Built for Daily Field Use
NAVAC gave the NVR3 rugged internal components, metal handles, and tactile knurling that stays easy to grip with gloves on. A strong magnetic base on the stem holds the valve core once it is removed, so the core stays clean and off the ground instead of getting lost under a condenser. The matte black finish holds up to life in a tool bag.
Where It Earns Its Keep
The NVR3 is built for technicians who want one connection at the service port for the whole job: pulling a deep vacuum with the core out for maximum flow, isolating to run a decay test, then charging through a separate port without ever exposing the system. It is equally at home on residential splits, ductless mini splits and light commercial equipment with standard Schrader ports.
What's Included
Each package contains one NAVAC NVR3 tri-port valve core removal tool and three spare O-rings.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the NVR3 different from the NVR2?
The NVR2 has a single side port for removing and installing cores. The NVR3 adds three ports with individual ball valves, so you can connect a vacuum pump, gauge and refrigerant at the same time and switch between charging, recovery, evacuation and leak testing without moving hoses.
Does it work with A2L refrigerants?
Yes. NAVAC designed the NVR3 to work with most refrigerants, including A2L refrigerants.
What port sizes does it fit?
It fits both 1/4" and 5/16" flare service ports in one tool.
What keeps the valve core from getting lost?
The stem has a strong magnetic base that holds the removed core so it stays clean and off the ground.
