Description

This Rheem 5 ton gas and electric split system pairs the RA16AY60AJ2NA air conditioner, the RCFY6021STAAMC cased evaporator coil and the R921V1005A21M4SCAP 92% AFUE gas furnace. It is an AHRI-certified match (AHRI reference 217168125), rated at 54,000 BTU/h of cooling and 15.2 SEER2. All three pieces use R-454B refrigerant.

How the pieces work together

The outdoor air conditioner uses a two-stage compressor that runs on low most of the day and steps up on the hottest afternoons. Inside, the 21" wide RCFY coil sits flush on the 21" furnace cabinet, so the installer gets a clean, square stack with no transition to fabricate.
