The Appion CCT14 1/4" Core Control Tool is a vacuum-rated core depressor that gives the technician precise, adjustable control over a Schrader valve core. Instead of a fixed depressor that simply opens the core, the CCT14 lets you meter the core open and closed by hand, which makes it a precise way to add refrigerant, take accurate pressure readings, and isolate a gauge from the system without pulling hoses.
The body is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and sealed with a double O-ring design, so the tool holds tight under high-side pressure and in deep vacuum. It is vacuum-rated to 20 microns and designed for high-pressure refrigerants such as R-410A. A 1/4" side port accepts a digital stub gauge or service hose, and an advanced back seat seal allows the gauge to be isolated from the system to protect sensitive instruments. The 1/4" female flare system connection fits standard 1/4" access ports on residential and light commercial split systems.
