The Appion MGAVCR MegaFlow 5/16" Vacuum-Rated Valve Core Removal Tool removes restrictive access valve cores so refrigerant and vacuum flow are no longer choked at the service port. Valve cores and depressors can restrict up to 90% of an access port, slowing recovery, running recovery tanks hot, and dramatically reducing the effective flow of a vacuum pump. Pulling the core restores full-port flow and shortens recovery and evacuation times. Sized for 5/16" service ports, it connects directly to ductless mini split systems with no adapters.
Unlike standard core tools that only work under pressure, the MegaFlow tool is rated for both pressure and vacuum, down to 20 microns. A double O-ring sealed ball valve allows accurate vacuum blank-off testing, and a 1/4" side port lets you connect a vacuum gauge and isolate the hoses to read the true system vacuum level. The knurled base has built-in magnets that hold the removed core, and the adjustable MegaGrip tip grabs cores securely to minimize lost cores. The tool is field serviceable and designed for high-pressure refrigerants such as R-410A.

Compatibility
Fits 5/16" flare access valves used on ductless mini split systems. The 1/4" side port accepts standard micron gauges and digital vacuum gauges. Can be rebuilt in the field with the Appion KTMV25 Valve Core Removal Tool Rebuild Kit. The companion size is the Appion MGAVCT (1/4").
