The MRCOOL VersaPro 2nd Gen 2.5-ton heat pump split system pairs the MVP-30-HP-C-230A00-O outdoor unit with the MVP-30-HP-MUAH-230A00-O multi-position air handler as an AHRI-matched set (AHRI Reference No. 216032537). The pair is certified at 17 SEER2, 10.7 EER2 and 8.5 HSPF2, with 30,000 BTU/h of rated cooling and 31,000 BTU/h of heating at 47°F, using R-454B refrigerant.
It is built for the heating and cooling loads of most of the country, and it keeps running efficiently in mild to moderately cold winters, with an electric heat kit available for colder snaps.
Outdoor unit

Its ECM blower adjusts itself to hold airflow steady as the filter loads up, the blower slides out for service, and the filter rack has a magnetic cover so changing filters takes seconds. An electronic expansion valve meters the refrigerant, and an MRCOOL smart thermostat comes in the box along with a 24V adapter for a standard wall thermostat.
Backup heat and controls
Electric heat is optional and sold separately.
