First Co. 18WCX2BB200F (WCX2 Series) is a cooling-only through-the-wall split condensing unit built for same-floor applications in apartments, condos, and townhomes. This format is chosen when you want the outdoor unit to stay tight to the building and the served space, keeping the system layout practical in multi-family properties. It’s also a common replacement path for existing through-the-wall condensers already in the field.
WCX2 models use R-454B (A2L) refrigerant and a high-efficiency scroll compressor with a propeller-type condenser fan. For the 18 size, published rated cooling capacity is 18,000 BTU/H with EER2 10.20, and the series lists SEER2 11.70 (coil rating). Outdoor cooling ambient operating range is listed from 60°F to 115°F.
The BB cabinet option is the more compact-height cabinet family in this lineup, built with practical durability details for real properties. It includes a sloped base pan to promote drainage, a plastic-coated coil guard for coil protection and corrosion resistance, and a cabinet design where side panels fit inside the base pan to help contain water along the edges. This series is specified for use with ECM indoor blower coil/air handler units, and the indoor coil must be compatible for A2L applications.
