First Co. 18WCX2BA200F (WCX2 Series) is a cooling-only through-the-wall split condensing unit designed for condos, apartments, and townhomes where same-floor placement keeps the job clean and serviceable. This format is commonly selected when rooftop or pad-mounted equipment is impractical, or when you want a replacement condenser that matches the building’s original through-the-wall layout.
WCX2 indicates an R-454B (A2L) refrigerant platform paired with a high-efficiency scroll compressor and a propeller-type condenser fan. For the 18 size, published rated cooling capacity is 18,000 BTU/H with EER2 10.20, and the series lists SEER2 11.70 (coil rating). Outdoor cooling ambient operating range is listed from 60°F to 115°F.
The BA cabinet option is the taller cabinet family in the WCX2 lineup, built with drainage and protection details intended for long-term outdoor exposure. A sloped base pan promotes drainage, the coil guard is plastic-coated for added coil protection and corrosion resistance, and the cabinet design places side panels inside the base pan to help manage water along the cabinet edges. This series is intended for use with ECM indoor blower coil/air handler units, and the indoor coil must be compatible for A2L applications.
