It’s a practical choice in condos and apartments where equipment access, footprint, and replacement compatibility drive the buying decision. Instead of pushing the project toward rooftop or pad placement, this model keeps the outdoor unit integrated with the building layout it was designed for.
WCX2 denotes an R-454B (A2L) refrigerant platform with a high-efficiency scroll compressor and a propeller-type condenser fan. For the 24 size, published rated cooling capacity is 23,600 BTU/H with EER2 10.10, and the series lists SEER2 11.70 (coil rating). Outdoor cooling ambient operating range is listed from 60°F to 115°F.
The BA cabinet option is the taller cabinet family and includes durability details aimed at real property conditions. It uses a sloped base pan for drainage, a plastic-coated coil guard for coil protection and corrosion resistance, and a cabinet design where side panels fit inside the base pan to help manage water along the cabinet edges. This series is intended for use with ECM indoor blower coil/air handler units, and the indoor coil must be compatible for A2L applications.
