Description
The Bard W42AF-A00 is a WA Series wall-mount, single-stage packaged air conditioner designed for heavier-load commercial and industrial cooling where serviceability, consistent airflow, and certified performance matter. The wall-mount format supports modular buildings, schools, industrial rooms, petro-chemical support spaces, telecom shelters, energy storage facilities, and data center support zones where equipment footprint and access are key constraints.
AHRI performance is certified to ANSI/ARI 390-2021, with a 42,000 BTUH cooling capacity and an 11.9 EER (ratings based on no outside air introduction). The W42AF uses R-454B (A2L) refrigerant with a scroll compressor, delivering straightforward single-stage cooling built around modern refrigerant direction.
Air delivery is driven by a multi-speed ECM indoor motor and dual blower arrangement rated at 1,350 CFM at 0.15 in. ESP. This airflow profile supports stable comfort performance across typical commercial duct systems where static pressure varies over the life of the building.
The WA Series also supports job-specific configuration: ventilation (economizers and ERVs), optional electric heat from 2 kW to 15 kW, filtration options up to MERV13, and IAQ accessories including UVC-LED and NPBI. Standard controls include short-cycle protection, phase monitoring, high/low pressure switches, and an integrated refrigerant detection system (RDS).
